The history of professional wrestling dates as far back as ancient Egypt and Babylon. Although it has been illustrated in a lot of drawings from those times, this was performed as a competition and sport by the Greeks. Professional and submission were derived from a style known as catch wrestling. Grapping below the waist is allowed by this style.

It is undeniably true that this exercise has become an uncommon kind of entertainment. Fans enjoy watching it due to the execution of the story, in-ring performance, and booking, the story lines, the interesting battles between the participants and the hot chicks. The sad thing is that others cannot in any way appreciate this.

There are a lot of harmful professional sports. Some people do not like some sports because of the level of the involved danger. On the other hand, this is the very reason why others love these sports. The only thing common among all professional sports is that they are all actual sports competitions. This specific sport is different because of the predetermined results and scripted matches for entertainment value.

Others believe that this exercise is fake and so they are questioning those who actually like it. In most instances, this is true. The attention of the fans are drawn due to this reason as well. Fighters wrestle each other because they have a reason to do so. They are not like the boxers or mixed martial artists who fight for cash or prove their capacity is a fighter.

On the contrary, this is not usually scripted or fake. Previously, this took place whenever there are traveling shows in the 1800's. Fighters go to small towns. They either fight with each other or with the town's best fighter. The individuals of the town make their bets.

Of course, majority of the townspeople would bet on their preferred wrestler. Better wrestlers are hired by the promoters at the time to make sure that they have backgrounds in this sport. Hookers is the term used describe these wrestlers because they are capable of applying hook holds easily such as other victory conditions and the sport's submission holds.

The history of professional wrestling illustrate that fans often bet on their preferred local wrestler because the hookers were kept secret. In the final fight, the local wrestler would most likely find himself pinned or tapped by the hooker. This is how predetermined fights start. The result was already guaranteed although they were not technically scripted.
