Health is wealth. It is a prerequisite to enjoy all the beautiful things in life. Nowadays most people are into the health consciousness trend, dieting and exercising their way to the good life. People also have varying motivations to try an be healthy. Some are just aiming for a hot body that they can show off. Some want to develop a stronger resistance so that they are able to do more. Some just want to live longer and see their kids grow into responsible adults. Whatever the underlying reason could be for trying to stay fit, over all health is important.

There are many ways to becoming fit. You can become a member in a gym, run around the park and attend yoga classes. You can go on long hikes and ride your bike on tough terrains. There are lots of camps that are interesting enough, and among these are lacrosse camps.

Lacrosse is now a very popular team sport that takes its origins from Canada. Research say that the game was probably started by the natives in 1100 AD and was already very much developed by the seventeenth century. Today it is played by shooting a ball in the goal opposing team by using special sticks to guide it inside.

There are four known types of the game. There is one for men, one for women, box lacrosse, and intercrosse. Players of this game are required to wear padding, except for the women. Box lacrosse is a modified version of that of men field, played indoors in a smaller arena especially during bad weather where it is impossible to play outside. Intercrosse, on the other hand, is a non contact form of the game.

People play this sport for many different reasons, one is to being mentally healthy. This sport encourages the use of mental faculties to think of ways to win the game. Also, an hour or so of rigorous play is equal to a dose of antidepressant, according to experts. Playing will make your body release endorphin to allow you to be in a good mood.

It also develops your ability for socialization, since it is a group game. You will be able to develop people relation skills as you and your team think of strategies and carry them out on the field. And since you meet a lot of fellow lacrosse enthusiasts inside the camp, you can widen out your circle of friends to include new ones.

It also burns calories and fight out obesity. Since you are always running and moving, being at a camp is just like having a workout, only much more enjoyable. Over countless times a lot of obese people have found a way to slim down without too much pressure simply by having a sport.

This is also good for muscular development. You work all the muscles in your arms every time you attempt to make a goal. You also develop your leg muscles due to all that running for long periods of time.

Indeed, joining camps and clinics are good and spendthrift ways to being healthy. Go ahead, choose the one that you like and join their camp activities. You do not only have fun, you also get healthy. Nothing is greater than that.
