0 Beating obesity through the hCG diet

By Cindy Byrd

If you have a weight problem, you are not alone. The number of people in the United States that are excessively overweight has hit epidemic proportions. So, instead of focusing on the problem, let us focus on the solution as individuals.

There is somewhat of a distinction between being overweight and being obese. The definitions is quite simple. If a person is overweight, it means that they are carrying more weight than what is normal for their height, age, and sex. A person who is Obese is one whose excess weight has accumulated to the point that it has a negative outcome on one's health and the ability to enjoy good health .

People who are obese have a much higher risk of health problems than those who are overweight, and people who are obese usually suffer from one or more of these maladies. The health risks associated with obesity are coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, high total cholesterol, stroke, sleep apnea, and joint problems (for every pound one is overweight, 3 pounds of weight are added to the knee joints). There is a direct correlation between weight and health factors and length of life.

Being overweight does not mean it lasts forever. It is usually much harder to lose excess weight than put it on but in some cases it can be a fast thing to do. For many losing weight and keeping it off means a lifestyle change. Most people need to change their eating habits, exercise habits, and even their mental state. Keeping weight off really requires one to care more about themselves and making lifestyle decisions in their healths best interest.

The most proactive stance, if one seriously wants to lose weight, is to start on the hCG diet. hCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. This hormone is a key factor in pregnant mothers' ability to allow their unborn children to feed off their stored fat instead of their muscle mass.

The only way to obtain hCG and start this diet, is through physician prescription, and that prescription id for self administered injection. Do not be misled by claims of hCG in the form of drops, or creams, or tablets that contain hCG. These products are forbidden in the United States. The safest approach is Physician monitored hCG.

With hCG in the body it allows dieters, to eat a 500 calorie course of therapy daily, without losing muscle mass, or suffering the effects of malnutrition. In the same way that you get a headache from missing meals you would suffer headache, hunger pains, irritability, cramps, on a greater scale without the presence of hCG in your blood.

The keystone of the hCG diet is the hCG hormone. The dieter consumes 500 calories a day to trigger substantial weight loss. The average active person needs 2000 to 3000 calories per pound per day. Therefore, 500 calories is quite low. To intake, that level of calories without hCG, your body will go into survival mode as if you were starving. This means your body would start to store fat, and the calories your body needs, will come from the breakdown of muscle.

However, with hCG in your body, the side effects alleviated, and your body chemistry will change. The weight will come off significantly, but at a healthy rate, and after a time, your metabolism will speed up with a change in body chemistry, and it will be easier to keep the weight off.
