0 Exercise and the hcg injection diet

By Jon F Greene

We have all experienced diets in one form or another. For years, for most diets, conventional wisdom says that diet and exercise go together. We believe that you cannot have one without the other. However, be aware that most of those diets require a caloric intake of 1200 to 1500 calories daily.

However, the hCG injection diet is a vastly different type of diet. The object of the hCG diet is to get the body to use the stored fats for nutrition. This is a slower process to get nutrients into the blood stream than eating. It is not the ideal situation for rigorous exercise.

'Increased activity' is a much more applicable term when we discuss exercise as it relates to the hCG injection diet. The hCG injection diet consists of only 500 daily calories, Which are for immediate demand and the rest of the caloric needs are drawn off stored fat cells. Thus, goal is give the patient increased activity, in an effort to prepare them for a more active lifestyle.

It is more than likely that anyone who suffers from obesity is prone to decreased activity, even a sedentary lifestyle. The hCG injection diet will bring dramatic weight loss in short order, and one has about 45 days to adjust to a new, more svelte physique. Even if one is not at their target weight, 25 ? 40 pounds lighter is significant. The principle here, is more about increased activity, and how that activity plays a vital role in your new lifestyle. So here are some tips and guidelines for exercise during your hCG injection diet.

Although exercise is not a requirement during the HCG diet, patients are encouraged to be active for at least 30 minutes per day. Low-level activity such as taking a walk, doing housework, and similar activities will be good for you and set you up for continued success after you are done with hCG injection diet.

If you are inclined to workout, implement workouts with moderate aerobic activity for 10 minutes at a time at least four times a week. These exercises can include walking, riding a bicycle, and swimming. However, keep the activity low paced. For example, walk for 10 minutes and cool down, walk for 10 minutes, then repeat. Aerobic exercise raises your heart rate and can help you gain some stamina that has been lost due to excess weight.

While on the diet, if you are so inclined as to exercise, aerobic activity such as walking a track or chair aerobics should be engaged for only 10 minutes at a time, four times a week. These activities would include walking, riding a bike, swimming or light water play. Do not engage in any one activity for more than 10 minutes at a time. For example, walk for 10 minutes, then cool down, and then repeat, increasing only as your stamina increases. Particularly helpful are stretching exercises

Discontinue exercises and consult with your Doctor; if you are unable to sustain energy, or experience generalized weakness after working out, or do not have enough energy to get to get through the day.

Listen to your body and do all things in moderation. Moderation is to become a major part of your new lifestyle. Remember, check with your hCG injection diet attending physician before engaging in any form of exercise and extra activities. He or She will verify that your health allows you to exercise while on the diet. Once you reach your target weight, you and the doctor can decide how to proceed from there.
